Terms of Use

ClipSniper is a free tool that helps you cut a clip from a stream you have the right to use. These terms explain what the tool does, what we ask of you, and the limits of what we can promise.

1. What ClipSniper is

You paste a link to a video, mark the part you want, optionally trim or mute it, and download the result. To do that, our server fetches only the part you marked, prepares the clip, and hands it to your browser as a normal download.

Clips exist on our server only for the short time needed to preview and download them, after which they are deleted automatically (normally within 30 minutes, and sooner if you start a new clip). We do not keep clips, publish them, or look at them.

2. Your responsibility for what you clip

This is the part that matters most. By using ClipSniper you confirm that, for every clip you make:

• you own the content, or you have permission from whoever does, or your use is otherwise allowed by law (for example a fair dealing or fair use exception, or a licence granted by the platform or creator);
• you will respect the terms of the platform the video came from;
• you will not use ClipSniper to infringe copyright, to harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.

You are solely responsible for the clips you create and for whatever you do with them afterwards. We do not review what you clip.

3. Other people's platforms

ClipSniper is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Twitch, Amazon, or any other streaming service. Their names are used only to describe what ClipSniper is compatible with. Those services have their own terms, and using ClipSniper does not exempt you from them.

If a platform changes how it works, parts of ClipSniper may stop working with no notice. We may have to remove support for a platform at any time.

4. The service is provided as is

ClipSniper is free and offered without any warranty. We do not promise that it will be available, that it will work for a given video, or that the result will be correct or complete. Use it at your own risk.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of ClipSniper, including lost files, lost time, or any claim brought against you over content you clipped. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

5. Fair use of the service

ClipSniper is shared by everyone who uses it, so there are limits: a maximum clip length, a maximum number of clips per hour, and a short time to download each clip before it is deleted. These limits may change without notice.

You may not use scripts or other automated tools to request clips, try to work around the limits, or use ClipSniper in a way that degrades it for other people. We may slow down or block connections that do.

6. Changes and availability

ClipSniper is a personal project. It may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, without notice. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use ClipSniper after a change means you accept it.

7. Reporting a problem

If you believe ClipSniper is being used in a way that infringes your rights, or you represent a platform with a concern, please contact us at clipsniper.mgmt@gmail.com. We read every message and will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Because clips are deleted within minutes of being made and are never published by us, there is normally nothing for us to take down; we can, however, act on misuse of the tool itself.

8. Governing law

ClipSniper is operated from the European Union and these terms are governed by EU law, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country of residence. Nothing here removes a consumer’s right to bring a claim where they live.
